PSG female fans complain about searches in Barcelona: 'They touched our genitals'

The incidents involving abusive searches at the hands of Barcelona's security personnel on Tuesday have sparked outrage among several PSG female fans.

These searches occurred prior to the French champions' impressive 4-1 victory over the Catalan giants, securing their spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

Anoush Morel, director of the "Her Game Too" association, emerged as the leading voice in addressing these complaints. Morel revealed to radio France Info that between 15 and 20 Parisian fans departed from the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, Barcelona's temporary venue during renovations at the Camp Nou, with similar grievances.

"The searches went beyond mere pat-downs: several female fans, including myself, experienced groping of our breasts, unwanted touching of our genitals from behind to the front, and we were even instructed to turn around so the same could be repeated in the opposite direction. I highly doubt the UEFA protocol advocates for groping women's breasts or touching their genitals," she asserted.

"Imagine planning your inaugural European trip, filled with excitement alongside your friends and fellow Parisian supporters – it's meant to be the pinnacle of your year as a fan. Yet, during the searches, you're subjected to sexual assault. Having your genitals violated without consent constitutes sexual assault," she further emphasized on social media.

Morel additionally disclosed that one PSG fan underwent a search conducted by a male, contrary to UEFA regulations which dictate that searches at stadium entrances must be performed by personnel of the same gender as the spectator being searched.

In response to these distressing reports, the French National Supporters Association issued a plea urging the victims of these abusive searches to officially lodge complaints with the organization. However, as of now, no such complaints have been lodged.
